This fall, TWC launched Project NEST (Nurturing Environments for Success Together). The initiative's goal is to strengthen and support early learning environments for children.
Project NEST is a pilot initiative created in partnership with Texas A&M. Currently, Project NEST is available only in the following local workforce development areas:
- Brazos Valley
- Panhandle
This initiative will provide training to Texas Rising Star certified providers. The training will focus on:
- creating supportive environments
- managing challenging behaviors
- using peer interactions to build social and emotional skills
Ten classrooms in each Board area will receive virtual coaching. The coaching platform will allow quick feedback and support to enhance classroom practices.
