If you operate a Texas Rising Star program, whether fully certified or Entry Level–designated, you will be partnered with a dedicated mentor. Mentors will provide support to help you obtain and maintain certification. At a minimum, this support includes scheduled monthly visits (virtual or on-site), access to resources, and technical assistance (such as coaching or modeling) tailored to your program’s quality improvement plan. If your program is working toward certification or a higher star level, your mentor is required to conduct on-site visits every third month. Additional support or more frequent mentoring may be provided as needed or based on your mentor’s availability. Together, you and your dedicated mentor will have your program reaching for the stars.
